Last fall, I tried to predict the GOP Vice Presidential candidate – I guessed it would be Bob McDonnell. since then, two things have happened that have made that significantly less likely – VA is less likely to be a major swing state, and McDonnell got caught up in the “prenatal ultrasound” controversy. With the VP nomination fast approaching, I figured it was time to update it -
and I think I’ve got to go with Ohio’s Rob Portman on this one. He doesn’t have a lot of national exposure, but all signs point to Ohio being an absolute must-win for Romney, and he has so far been a very conservative campaigner – I don’t see his VP pick being any different.
