Faith in humanity…

You know what humanity? Just when I think you couldn’t possibly be any worse, you go and do something like this.

…..

AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!

So last night the Vixen and I were headed out for the evening. As I approached a stop light, I slowed down because of, you know, the car in front of me. The Chrysler 300 trying to change lanes behind me, however, decided it would be better to smash into the back of my car. And then take off down the highway without stopping.

I was pretty upset. My generally optimistic view of humanity and the quality of individuals therein plummeted pretty fast. My wife and I were fine, just shaken up, but the car is pretty well messed up, and of course we got to calling the police, insurance company, etc. But then, like 15 minutes later, still sitting on the shoulder, a pick up truck pulls up and two guys get out – they had seen the accident, saw the guy who hit me take off, followed him a couple exits down the highway, got his plate number and came back to give a statement to the police!

So there are a**holes out there, but there are some pretty awesome people out there as well. So to Dave and Kenny (who unfortunately left before I could get there full names) – thanks, you are both gentlemen and scholars.
