The Reverse Ghost Ship Moment

I’ve been doing some guest writing/pod-casting for the website OverthinkingIt – the site that subjects the popular culture to a level of scrutiny it probably doesn’t deserve. My latest article, The Reverse Ghost Ship Moment addresses what happens when the promotional materials for a movie mislead the audience into expecting a different movie than they ultimately get.

A few weeks back, I appeared on their Podcast of the same name, as the resident naval-expert for their overanalysis of Battleship. If you’re interested, you can find that Podcast here:

I'm a Naval Officer living in Southern California. I hope to be attending law school in the next year or two, and I started writing this blog out of a desire to improve my writing and critical thinking skills after a couple years outside of academia.
